Sadies Designer Cakes & Pastries opened October 1st, 2009 by Joseph O’Neil, (wife) Elizabeth O’Neil, (son) Matthew O’Neil and (sister) Laurie McGuire.
The purpose of the bakery was to create old fashioned, homemade pastries and designer cakes. Changing the cases by seasons and holidays, providing the fresh and savory pastries you’ve tried (or want to try while reading this.) The detail of the designer cakes is acute and skilled, done by head designer Elizabeth O’neil along with collaborative effort from the family. Always trying to provide the most accurate depiction of your desired cake, nothing less.
The name “Sadie” pays tribute to loving mother and grandmother of Elizabeth and Matthew, Sarah Taylor. She was fondly nicknamed Sadie by her sisters growing up in Nova Scotia. Elizabeth has owned several businesses before including bakeries and gives credit to growing up under Sadies’ roof with 5 siblings. This business was inspired and owes it all to her. So, thanks Mom.

Sorry for the late response Robin. We do not do orders online, they must be called in or through walk-in service. We deliver our biggest cakes that require us to do so. Which means, we deliver out of necessity and the price of moving the cake varies. It really depends on distance and how long it would take us. Don’t be afraid to inquire. 617-770-CAKE ((2253))
